The ObsoleteBills service is run by two partners.
Ronnie Shahar, pictured on the left, has been trading withdrawn banknotes for 30 years and specializes in Asian currencies. Adam Slomski, on the right, has been dealing in European currencies for 20 years. They joined forces to buy withdrawn currencies in the United States.
Thanks to their excellent relationships with collectors around the world, they can offer purchase prices in the U.S. that are significantly higher than those of existing competitors.
What are withdrawn currencies? These are banknotes and coins that the issuing authority — a country’s central bank — has officially declared to be no longer legal tender. Such notes are not accepted by banks or exchange offices in the U.S., nor can they be used for payment in shops in their countries of origin.

Coin purchasing
Foreign coins have no practical use in the United States. You can’t spend them in American stores, exchange them at a currency counter, or deposit them at a bank.
Our company buys foreign coins and processes them in two categories: coins that still have circulating value abroad, and coins that qualify as numismatic scrap.
Valuation and payment are carried out according to this procedure. You may send coins to us separately or together with your banknotes. We also purchase silver, gold, and platinum coins.

The transaction procedure is as follows:

- After receiving a preliminary valuation from us, complete and print the form.

- Packages are processed within a maximum of 3 business days. We pay by Zelle, PayPal or check.
Legal note
Oceanic World Air LLC does not provide currency exchange services or conduct cash transactions. We specialize exclusively in the purchase of banknotes and coins that are no longer legal tender, as defined under Section 687.03 – Definition of Money. Under this provision, “money” includes physical, digital, and electronic forms of currency that are legally recognized as a medium of exchange — which withdrawn banknotes and obsolete coins are not.
